Note 1: Choose a coil-type step-down transformer with 100V output, not 110V. Electronic travel converters marked "for heating appliances only" cannot be used with electronic rice cookers that have an LCD panel. Rate it at least the cooker's wattage ÷ 0.8 (this model is 1,210W, so at least 1,600W); 2,000W or more with pure copper windings is recommended, and transformer makers are more conservative for heating appliances (at least 3 times the power consumption). Connect only one appliance per transformer. A 2,000W transformer weighs about 8–10kg and costs a few hundred yuan in mainland China. Manufacturers do not support use outside Japan, and there is no warranty; plugging the cooker straight into a 200–240V outlet will burn it out.

Note 2: Some users report that when the local voltage runs high, their rice cooker showed an error code and would not cook, and that it worked normally after adding a step-down transformer; many other users report no problems without one. Choose a coil-type step-down transformer with 100V output, rated at least the cooker's wattage ÷ 0.8 (this model is 1,210W, so at least 1,600W). Manufacturers do not support use outside Japan, and there is no warranty.
