The photo is read in your phone's browser and never uploaded to any server. The first scan downloads about 7MB of recognition files, which are cached afterwards.
Tips for a good scan
- Aim at the line with the model number and get close: the model number should fill about half the width of the photo.
- Model numbers are letters plus digits (e.g. NW-YQH10, EH-NA0K) and are also printed on the side of the box.
- Avoid glare. Cosmetics, medicines and snacks usually have no model number, so searching by name below is faster.
